“Civilizations pass. Structures remain. A structural reading of worlds, systems and cycles.”

The Franck Mide world contains machines, disappearances and temporal anomalies. But it contains no conventional time travel. No one returns to rewrite the past. No alternate universe is created each time a choice is made. The machines do not transport their passengers toward another date. They reveal something more disturbing. The present itself may not be entirely shared.

Objects do not come from the future. The 3D+1 machine modifies the timing of emergence. An object appears before its fabrication sequence is complete, but it does not travel backward through time.
Disappearance is not destruction. Those exposed to the field become aligned with a layer of the present that others can no longer access. They remain real. They become unshared.
Visibility does not guarantee access. A building may exist for one observer and be absent for another. A district may remain inhabited while disappearing from ordinary routes.
Performance does not determine survival. Large, optimized systems become fragile. Small local structures such as Champlieu persist because they are sufficient, adaptable and limited. Viability replaces performance.
Stability requires imperfection. A completely coherent system would continue expanding and selecting. Franck therefore introduces limitation—not to defeat the phenomenon, but to prevent it from becoming absolute. He does not restore the old world. He preserves a fragment capable of holding. That is the central question of the Franck Mide inquiry:
When reality begins to filter itself, what deserves to remain?.
